One Week In

One week in and although the weather is sunny and hot, the trees are losing there leaves and winter looks like it is on it's way. Think we are in for a hell of a shock when it comes.

Work is going well Catherine is settling in well at school, I have been running the breakfast programme and will start the sports programme in the next few weeks, made 200 hundred muffins the other day, and bacon and eggs for nearly 100 today (learning on your feet truely is the way to go). When winter kicks in it looks like i will be helping out with cross country skiing and the biathlon, plus a little snowboarding on the side.

Beautiful place, i think cath and i will be reallly happy here. Will defo get out and take some pics to add on here asap, now we just need some people to read it. Please if you come on here then add a comment it would be great to here from some people.

  1. Hey guys,

Glad you're settling in ok. I'll be your Frontiers 'neighbour' for the next year or so up in Nahanni Butte. I also keep a blog, feel free to check it out at northofsummer.blogspot.com

    Good luck and have fun!

  3. Hey there-

Another neighbor checking in (remember me? the beaver in Wrigley who met you on the plane?).

Great to hear you're keeping busy and enjoying Fort Liard! The weather and long daylight hours have been pretty pleasant so far, haven't they? It's windy and rainy here today...maybe it is there too. I hope you enjoy your weekend! I'm planning to get out and collect myself a bag of cranberries...

Take care and keep in touch! Hopefully we catch each other again.

  4. Hi you two, glad all well and that you are settling in well. Finally found you on a map and will try and get Fort Liard into some of mu Geography teaching! My last week of freedom and then course starts. Summer is fading away here too will give you both a nod as Josie and I head for the hills or Scotland.

  5. Hello guys

Glad to hear everything's rosey and you're settling in to your new jobs and life. Sounds truly wonderful - can't wait to see some pics.

Belated birthday wishes to you, Mr Smalls. I assume celebrating your 30th in Canada was a tad more exciting than a few pints on the Isle of Wight. Hope you had a great one.

What's your accomodation like? If you send me your address (use Facebook if you've not got my e-mail address) then I've got a little present for you. That is of course if there's anything approaching a postal service out there.

    Keep on keeping on,
    Kev x
